Welcome to Southridge Retreat -- a home with everything you need for your Galena getaway no matter the season.

Bedroom 1: King Bed with ensuite bathroom | Bedroom 2: King Bed with ensuite bathroom | Bedroom 3: Two Full Beds with ensuite bathroom | Bedroom 4: Queen Bed with a bathroom directly adjacent to the bedroom. Bedroom 1 is on the main level while Bedrooms 2-4 are on the lower level.

Inside the home, you will find: Flat Screen TV’s in each bedroom and living room (Smart TV in the lower level living room), a wood-burning fireplace, a large dining table for up 8 people, and additional seating at the breakfast bar. Downstairs you will find a comfortable couch as you watch the pool sharks in your group challenge each other to a round of billiards.

The kitchen is fully stocked with a full-size refrigerator, Keurig and regular coffee makers, dishwasher, oven, microwave, crockpot, and cooking basics.

Step outdoors and you’ll find three different decks/patios. The deck off of the main level features outdoor chairs and a gas grill. Avoid the bugs in the screened porch during the summer months (located off of the kitchen and primary bedroom). And a concrete patio off of the lower level living room welcomes you to the back yard where you will find a fire pit, and horseshoe court, or bring your favorite yard game for the spacious backyard.

The Galena Territory has something for everyone. You will be provided six (6) access cards for use of the community amenities which provide access to Shenandoah Riding Center, hiking trails, an indoor pool open year-round (lap swimming and open swimming), a splash pool, and an outdoor pool with slides (available seasonally), tennis courts, fitness center, pickleball courts (outdoor are available seasonally and indoor have scheduled times), and Lake Galena where you may rent a pontoon boat and troll around. If you need more than six access cards during your stay, you may purchase additional day passes for $5 per person/day (required only for those 5 years and up).

Within the Galena Territory, Eagle Ridge Resort has four golf courses, a spa, Highlands Restaurant, Woodlands Restaurant & Lounge, a golf simulator at The General Golf Course in the winter months, and a Nordic Center (sledding & ice skating) with a daily bonfire to warm up.

Nearby, Chestnut Mountain has excellent Midwest skiing during the winter and warmer weather activities such as Alpine Slide, Screaming Eagle zipline ride, Frisbee Golf, and Mountain Biking. Historic Downtown Galena offers something for everyone – kayak down the Galena River, explore historic homes, unique shopping experiences, and plenty of great restaurants.

Parking: The driveway can accommodate up to 5 cars max. Please note, the driveway is on a hill and narrow, and the garage is not available for guest parking.

We do not have a COVID or weather cancellation policy, we highly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance; available to purchase after booking.

**All COVID-19 related restrictions have been lifted for the Owners Club including capacity limits and reservations for most amenities. There are a few amenities that do still require reservations - lap swimming at the indoor pool, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and outdoor basketball courts (available seasonally). This is subject to change if the State of Illinois re-institutes restrictions related to the pandemic. Reservations cannot be guaranteed, and there are no discounts or refunds if the Owner's Club amenities are not available. **
